Novel Coronavirus/COVID-19 Update – Updated April 30, 2020
We are pleased to announce that The Governor signed an Executive Order yesterday granting permission for campgrounds to open to seasonal campers. Based on this information we are preparing to open to Seasonal Campers Wednesday, May 6th. Under the current Order, transient and cabin camping remains prohibited. We will continue to monitor new developments and will provide updates as they become available.
Campground rules have been modified to ensure compliance with current state and county orders and the health and safety of our guests, coworkers and the community as follows:
- No person displaying COVID-19 symptoms is permitted to enter the campground.
- All common areas - including the office/store, swimming lake/beach, fishing lake, bathhouses, arcade, Piney’s, playgrounds, dog park, gaga pit, basketball court, horseshoe pits and volleyball court will be closed and there will be no in-person activities.
- Golf Cart use is discouraged at this time.
- All campers will be required to adhere to Coronavirus Guidelines regarding Social Distancing.
- Face masks must be worn any time you are not at your site and are not maintaining social distance.
- Minor children must be accompanied by parent/legal guardian at all times.
- If it is necessary to communicate with the office, please do so via email or telephone – even when you are in the park.
- If you develop COVID-19 symptoms, please contact your doctor and the Cape May County Health Department at (609) 465-1187.
- No visitors/guests will be permitted until further notice.
Additional information/instructions will be emailed directly to all Seasonal Guests by the close of business today.
Please note that the availability of supplies locally is quite limited and we encourage all campers to arrive with all necessary provisions.
Stay healthy, be safe and we’ll see you soon!
Novel Coronavirus/COVID-19 Update – Updated April 24, 2020
As of this date, there has been no change in the state and local government’s policy to keep campgrounds closed. We have reached out to the Governor’s office, state Legislators and Community leaders and have been working closely with the New Jersey Campground Owners Association but there has been no movement to date. Our principals have a conference call scheduled with NJ State Senator Steve Oroho, and intend to appeal the current restrictions.
We are prepared to open for camping and can do so safely, with modified rules that will ensure compliance with state and county orders as well as insure the safety of our guests, coworkers and the community.
We will continue to work on behalf of all campground owners and campers until current orders prohibiting us from opening in any capacity are eased or lifted.
Thank you for your continued support. Stay healthy and be safe.
